A client came to us having had an undesirable experience with another company. They were not satisfied with the level of service and attention they were getting. They were underwhelmed by the floor plan design and wanted a more responsive company. We are honored they chose us and are happy to be of service. A couple of weeks later, we met them at their parcel and began on the design of their custom build home.
The client purchased a large rural undeveloped parcel in Fairfield County Ohio. They desired to utilize the land for several distinct purposes. We developed a master plan implementing the various components including recreation ponds, apple orchard, prairie reserve, hideaway cabin, landscaping & grade mounding, and an elongated winding drive lane that navigates the approach to the residence. The master plan enables consideration of each facet of development in relationship to one another as well as forecast for future phases of development. The residence sighting & orientation on the parcel affords the prairie acreage beauty justice. The parcel’s lavish depth yields splendid vistas to the rear and sides of the property.
The client came to us with no preconceived architectural style preferences. The client did however share images of past dwellings they were found. They sought our creativity and recommendations on a floor plan arrangement as well as the architectural massing and detailing of the residence.
After a series of personal design sessions with the client, we developed and refined a dynamic design that features a central core high volume Great Room. The layout utilizes an open floor concept with shared volumes of the Great Room with the Kitchen and Dining room. The layout provides for privacy separation of the Master Suite & Guest Bedroom Suite from the public central core as well as back of house Mudroom, Laundry, Pantry and 2-Car Garages.
This custom home is a blend of Contemporary Craftsman & French Country architectural styles. The unique plan ‘wye’ shape and acute angles embellish the structure’s depth and appeal. This is truly a one of a kind build inside and out.
