One of a series of duplexes with extensive storm damage, the developer sought to lift the community by rebuilding or renovating these abandoned and weathered properties. Special coordination with the jurisdiction was required to transfer city ownership then to communicate scope of damage and intended scope of rehab. With neighboring properties long-time ownership, the city was sensitive to new development providing in-kind massing and quality of materials to mesh the fabric of the existing community. The developers earnest interest was to improve the neighborhood and infill its missing pieces.
